The IL10 gene, found on chromosome 1, consists of five exons. Immune cells such as ...macrophages,lymphocytes, and natural killer cells produce interleukin-10 (IL-10), a versatile cytokine involved in immune regulation. IL-10 has the ability to suppress the immune system and inhibit angiogenesis. Among other consequences, IL-10 facilitates the growth and spread of tumor cells by suppressing the immune system. Interleukin-10 enhanced the growth and spread of cancerous cells while suppressing the proliferation and efficacy of T-cells.
