CD27 is typically present on population of T cells, memory B cells, and T ...cells, as well as certain divisions of natural killer (NK) cells. CD27 plays a role in costimulation in immune responses. The activation of the CD27 pathway promotes the growth and specialization of T-cells into both effector and memory T-cells, making it a potential target for modifying the immune response in cancer therapy. The CD27 agonistic antibody varlilumab demonstrated encouraging effectiveness in both blood-related and solid cancers. We conclude that CD27 should be considered as a potential biomarker in the diagnosis of ovarian cancer
